# Can "liking" something be the foundation for everything we do?

I was watching a K-Drama called *Still Shining* recently, and it really got me thinking. It made me realize how much my own passions have been the engine pushing me forward. But then I hit a wall with what the male lead, Yeon Tae-Seo, said. He pointed out that "liking" isn't always enough. Sometimes, life throws "musts," "situations," and "responsibilities" at us.

It’s that impossible crossroads: choosing between what you love and what you actually need to do right now. I’ve been there—that moment where you realize you can’t have both, and whatever you pick is going to change your life forever. I’ve realized that while passion is a great headstart, it only works if the timing and the situation allow it. That’s just life, I guess. We can’t always do what we love because duty calls. But I have to believe that whatever path I choose, God knows what’s actually best for me in the end.
